31 posts in 31 days. Quite a commitment to the greatest holiday of the year! October is coming, and it's time to get serious. Highbury Cemetery will again be participating in the Countdown To Halloween, the annual blogfest celebrating the countdown to the best night of the year!
The new CTH badges are ready and this year's theme is one to tickle any sweet tooth's tastebuds - Monster Cereals!!! I'm ALWAYS a Frankenstein man, but my sweet tooth wins out this time, because we're going with chocolate!
The Count is in the house! The new menu badge to the right has been updated and it's time to start gathering new post ideas. Starting October 1, we'll again have Halloween prop how-to's, Cemetery Sundays, where I tour local cemeteries and post a wealth of photo inspiration for your haunt, and of course everyones favorite, Freebie Fridays, where I scour my record collection and post up something sweet to keep the party going all month long. If you want to get the party started early, why not grab some goodies from the Highbury's Halloween Punkcast series now? Plus, we're celebrating 10 years of Highbury Cemetery as a yard haunt, so we'll probably have a few extra goodies for everyone as well.
Congrats on 10 years! I haven't been doing my Maple Grove Cemetery that long, but it's still fun to look back and see how things have changed & improved over the years!
Can't wait. I'm actually running my own blog event "the 13 Days of Halloween" which also starts on the 1st of October. Take a look let me know what you think. This is gonna be a great Halloween I know it!
A cold, weathered hand pierces the rust-laden earth of a late autumn night. Reanimated decay becomes the evening's guide. Masked faces bask in the fiery glow of a jack-o-lantern's illumination. A lifeless finger points the direction toward the next porch-lit house. For this is the night of ghouls and goblins and tricks and treats. This is the night of Hallowe'en...
