I just signed up again to participate in the annual Countdown To Halloween, where for my FIFTEENTH year in a row, I'll be celebrating all October with daily blog posts all the way up to the High Holiday itself. Anything and everything Halloween! An orange-and-black blitz of all things creepy and cool!

Here we are at the doorstep to September! Only 32 more days until the greatest month of all, and then the REAL party starts!

Countdown To Halloween, 2023

Do people still read blogs? Ehh, I still do. And that's why I'm all in for another month-long celebration of the Countdown To Halloween.

Starting October 1st, it will be another non-stop black-and-orange blitz of anything and everything Halloween. Heck, it's what makes the other eleven months of the year worth it!

Blood Incantation - "Timewave Zero"

I recently had a chance to catch up on some really great Halloween blogs, and this one really stopped me in my tracks.

I was perusing the great Petrichor & Pumpkins, and came upon a post featuring the death metal band, Blood Incantation. I was somewhat familiar with their sound, but I had completely missed their latest release Timewave Zero, and the hype it was receiving.

That's because after a string of successful death metal releases, they decided to drop this... a dark ambient side project album. And it's amazing!

I have listened to this a few times now, and I still can't believe it was released by a death metal band. They really know what they are doing, and this will certainly be going into my collection shortly.
