Muppets Haunted Mansion

I've been pretty excited about this one since I first saw the trailer! I love The Muppets and I LOVE The Haunted Mansion, so this collaboration is a total no-brainer!! Muppets Haunted Mansion premieres tomorrow on Disney Plus, so I'm going to take a little break from all things creepy yard haunt, sit down with my family, and enjoy the ever-living heck out of this.

"Ghostly Music Box" From The Haunted Mansion

Is there a more elegant, hauntingly melancholic track than Disney's Ghostly Music Box? This track is featured at the Haunted Mansion and Phantom Manor park attractions, and plays a mechanical music box rendition of Grim, Grinning Ghosts.

I could listen to this for hours on end. Enjoy.

Lana Del Rey - "Once Upon A Dream"

I didn't even know I was a Lana Del Rey fan until this track popped up in a Pandora Halloween station playlist. I guess it's because I never saw Maleficent.

Hauntingly beautiful vocals in this one... (I'm definitely going to have have to post some Misfits or Slayer after this one!)

The Skeleton Dance, 1929

The night promises to be a scary one. Lightning flashes. The wind howls. A tree branch in the shape of a hand seems to grab for a frightened owl that spins its head around like a top. The clock on the church tower strikes midnight, sending the bats flying out of the belfry. Two cats on gravestones fight by pulling and stretching each other's noses like taffy. A skeleton rises from behind a gravestone, frightening the fur off the cats. But an owl's hooting scares it, and it retaliates by throwing its skull and knocking the bird's feathers off. It's time for the skeletons to dance; and they perform as no living creatures could.
