The Countdown Begins, 2013

Dusk advances on a fading twilight while a chill permeates crisp evening breezes. Falling, brittle leaves gather lifeless at the rooted bases of their cores' metamorphoses. Absent is the comforting sunlight of a warm summer's afternoon. The cold, withered tendrils of Autumn's touch begin their embrace to commence this transition...

This is October. This is the Countdown to Halloween.



Welcome to Highbury Cemetery's Countdown to Halloween, 2013. A month-long, daily celebration of all things Halloween, with posts galore spilling from the cemetery gates of our little home haunt. We'll have posts about props, project how-tos, music, art and everything else imaginable to honor the high holiday of All Hallow's Eve.

To kick off October properly, we're unveiling our new logo (celebrating the 10th year of our home haunt!). Something we create each year to be used on posters, t-shirts and whatever else we can think of to slap it on. Something to set the tone for the haunting season.

Highbury Cemetery 2011 Poster

Okay group, feast your eyes on our brand new poster, just created by yours truly. 2011 is the eighth year of the Highbury Cemetery home haunt, and everyone who works at the Cemetery on Halloween night will score one for free. Enjoy! This artwork will be the basis for our upcoming t-shirts, too. Now to find the time to screen up some in my basement...

And a big thanks to our good friend Peter over at Cleveland Frowns for the shout out and traffic surge last week (had I known, I would have hit you up with the Zombie Walk info!). After last week's game, you are a much better fan than me!! Go, Browns!!

T Shirt 2009

So all the Halloween goodies have finally been put away for the year. I can actually park the cars in the garage again and everything has been stowed in the attic. But before I put everything away, I did manage one last shot for the season. Here is this year's t-shirt that I made for everyone who helped this year with Highbury Cemetery. You can see the matching poster that I did here.

 A big thank you to Skaight at Psycho Reindeer for hooking me up again this year with the screen (I still have one shirt left for you!). If you get a second, why not buy a shirt from Scott, as he has excellent taste in shirt models.
