Slow days around the Cemetery, but we wanted to point out that April 6th was the 13th anniversary of the unfortunate death of Wendy O. Williams, the infamous singer for punk band, The Plasmatics, and later a solo artist. Film buffs will remember her for her role as prison-gang leader Charlie Chambliss in Reform School Girls. Fans of metal will remember her for her "Stand By Your Man" duet with Lemmy from Motorhead.
But I will always remember her for The Plasmatics' "Butcher Baby" video. Perhaps the greatest live video ever filmed...
Enjoy the madness of whipped cream, darts, mohawks, leather, bondage masks, tutus, chainsaws, explosions and hammering guitar riffs. Wendy, you were truly one of a kind!
