A wonderfully moody track for the weekend! Another great one from Swedish dark ambient artist, Pär Boström. A Gothic feel with this one, with just the slightest bit of, dare I say... Carpenter!?
Enjoy!

Video games + Killer Klowns From Outer Space? Take my money, please! I'm not a huge gamer, but this one looks like it will be a TON of fun and will be a title that I'll definitely grab!
Killer Klowns is really picking up momentum this year, with a bunch of fun collectibles showing up at Spirit Halloween, a brand new soundtrack release from Waxwork Records, and now a video game. Clowns usually don't do much for me, but for this I'm all in! It looks like Killer Klowns From Outer Space: The Game (which is created by one of the executive directors of Friday the 13th: The Game!) will be released in early 2023. So now we wait...
More really great pop punk from Horror Section, this time with an amazing video edit featuring clips from the 1985 classic, Fright Night. Horror Section's brand new release is available here. Enjoy!
Be sure to get this one on your calendars, group! Regal Movies has announced that George A. Romero's 1978 zombie classic, Dawn of the Dead, will be returning to theaters in October for a limited, four-night only showing. IN 3-D!!!
I'm going to be pretty busy during that time with the rest of the Halloween shenanigans and tomfoolery, but I am most definitely carving out time to go see this one. I have seen this film probably 50 times, but never in the third dimension! It is going to be epic!!
Count Chocula, Frankenberry, Boo Berry, and now after nearly ten years, the return of FRUTE BRUTE!! The classic lineup of Monster cereals are returning to store shelves, and this year come with some added zing! Each character cover is redone by legendary street artist, KAWS!!
But wait, there's even more! Grab these killer cereal boxes and then head over to kawsmonsters.com. Register and enter the secret code on the box for your chance to win a limited set of KAWS Monster Cereals figurines! Breakfasts from now until Halloween are going to be sooooo good!!
Beautiful rainy deep sub ambient soundscapes from Mount Shrine
I was deeply saddened when I learned that Cesar Alexandre, the Brazilian artist behind dark ambient act Mount Shrine, had passed away from Covid complications last year. I was a huge fan of his unique take on the dark ambient genre, opting for a warmer, rolling, almost meditative drone as opposed to the standard dark, discordant sound. His 2019 track, Underpass, is still one of my all-time favorites...
Fast forward to today and I was pleasantly surprised with Cryo Chamber's announcement of All Roads Lead Home, a brand new release featuring the final Mount Shrine tracks composed before his death.
I immediately snagged a copy and have had it on a constant rotation here at the Cemetery. More wonderfully warm atmospherics with just enough dark elements to keep things interesting. Do yourself a favor and give it a listen over on the Cryo Chamber Bandcamp page. It's a fitting end to a wonderful catalog of unique dark ambient work.
Rest in peace, Cesar.
An eternity of cold, lifeless slumber is abruptly shattered. Movement stirs within the undead crypt as frantic reanimation courses through once stagnant flesh. A distant bell beckons from the darkness, tolling the seasons’ metamorphosis. The tomb’s stone slab lid slides ever so slightly releasing a fiery amber glow. This awakening cannot be stopped, will not be stopped! A withered hand jolts skyward, breaking the silence of eternal rest. Blood red eyes cast a manic gaze into the blackened depths of a cold autumn night. And locked in the incessant grip of insatiable voracity… I rise from my grave.
